Project: McCall Public Art - “Our Confluence” - Bench

This public art piece celebrates the confluence of the Main Salmon and South Fork rivers—together forming the literal and figurative backbone of central Idaho. More than a sculpture, it honors the powerful, intersecting waterways that shape the region’s landscape. Commissioned by the City of McCall and installed on 2nd Street in the summer of 2021, the piece doubles as both a monument to the land and a bench for reflection.

The structure itself mirrors the region’s backbone—its steel framework forms a central spine that supports and connects, while the organic flow of plasma-cut steel and glass fiber–reinforced concrete echoes the river's course. At 16 feet in length, this sculptural bench invites both rest and contemplation, grounding visitors in the dynamic essence of the landscape it represents.
